Need a fun way to package small gifts? These book treat boxes are super easy to put together, and fun to decorate as well!
Supplies needed for this project:
Stamps: Decorative Trees
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Cherry Cobbler - cut 2 pieces 3-7/8 x 2-7/8, and one piece 3-7/8 x 7/8
White, scrap
Other: Decorative Trees Dies, White Embossing Powder, Book Treat Boxes, Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder, Shaded Spruce Satin and Sheer Ribbon
These boxes come in 2 pieces
And already have the adhesive on them to make them super easy to put together
Simply fold in the small tabs, and then fold the longer sides over them to secure the box bottom
Now to decorate the cover before assembling the box
The cover comes with a tab that has a small piece of adhesive on it that you can use to close the box. I chose to cut that tab off
I then cut a piece of Shaded Spruce Ribbon and ran it down the center of the box lid to use as a tie so I could easily open the box without destroying it.
Next, I embossed a piece of 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Cherry Cobbler CS with the Forever Plaid embossing folder, and cut it down to size. I then glued it down to the three sides of the cover
I then cut a tree from the Decorative Trees dies, stamped it with versamark and heat embossed it in white, cut some garland and a star with the dies, and attached it to the front of my cover. There are two strips of adhesive on one side of the cover that you use to attach the box to it. Then I tied the box shut so I can use it again and again.
You can fit gift cards, chocolates or other treats (they are food safe!), gift tags... the list goes on and on... in this cute box. You get 10 boxes for $10!
