More Than Autumn K-Cup Holder

Today's project features the More Than Autumn Bundle on page 49 of the mini catalog.

I don't drink coffee, but I have a Keurig machine to make hot chocolate and herbal tea, and thought it would be fun to make a k-cup treat container.

I'm not going to post the actual container instructions here, but if you'd like to get together to make it, I'd love set up a time with you to do that. What I am going to talk about, though, are the supplies I used to decorate this.

I started out by using some of the new Two Tone Cardstock that is available online right now. This is a fun new product that is (as the name implies) two different tones of the same color - one side darker and the other slightly lighter. It is also a white-core cardstock, meaning that the color doesn't go all the way through the paper like our regular cardstock. It's white under the color, which makes it perfect for distressing. It is also a bit lighter weight than our regular cardstock.

I chose red, and embossed it with the new Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder

This is a much bigger embossing folder, measuring 6 x 8-1/2". See it compared to a standard size EF below...

After I embossed the two tone cs, I used some sandpaper to distress the tops, allowing the white to show through, and then adhered it to the front and sides of my container.

I finished this project up by stamping, cutting, and coloring.

The white tag is from another online exclusive bundle, Greetings of the Season.
I stamped and cut the cup and whipped cream image from the More Than Autumn Bundle, and colored the cup using Pecan Pie and Real Red Blends.
I used the Mini Alphabet Die to cut out the letters for "cozy" in Pecan Pie, and stamped "season" using Real Red.
Finally, I colored some white ribbon with a Real Red Blends and tied it to the top.

Two k-cups fit perfectly in this little holder and make a fun treat!
