Sweetest Wreath

I love decorating for Christmas! I'm always ready to start decorating on the first chilly day of the season, but I've had to learn to compromise for the sake of my marriage and not get anything out until the day after Thanksgiving. But, at least I don't have to wait until then to create fun Christmas decor!

I really love dimensional stars, and as soon as I saw the Sweetest Star punch in the catalog, I knew I wanted to make this project. I found a basic wreath at the craft store (the one my sweet grandson can't pronounce and sounds like "Bob Bobby" when he tries to say it! Ha!), and punched out lots of stars from the Take a Bow DSP.

It helps to have a scoring board for this project, but you can also use the score blade on your paper trimmer, or even a stylus and ruler will work.

You begin by scoring from a peak straight down, and continue all the way around the star, like this:

Next, fold along the score lines, alternating mountain and valley folds, but be sure that each peak of the star is a mountain fold.
(Basically you are going to accordion fold all the way around the star)

When you finish, it should look like this:

I then hot glued them onto my wreath.

And in the name of staging, I hung it on the wall... where it will stay until after Christmas! Heehee!

Wonder how long it will take the hubby to realize I've "accidentally" left it there?

Cheerful Celebration... and some news!

I can't believe that it's our 12th and last project! I thought I'd end things off on a cozy note. Supplies needed for this card...
